Nalgene Cup Holder Adapter

Nothing’s worse than a car cup holder that is too small for your beloved water bottle or coffee mug. For years, my Nalgene’s would either sit out of reach on the floor of the passenger seat, or precariously on the center console sliding around with every turn.

Enter – the car cup holder adapter.

With the purchase of my first 3D printer, I knew this would be one of the first products I would design and print. Let me tell you, finally fitting a Nalgene securely in a cup holder was oh-so-satisfying.

This cup holder adapter easily fits in most standard cup holders and is perfect for keeping you hydrated on long road trips, commutes, or even just a quick run to the store. The adapter is designed with the classic 32 oz (1L) Nalgene in mind, but is compatible with most standard water bottles, including those with a diameter of 4 inches or less. Additionally, with the tall side walls and slot cut-out, it’s compatible with the 49oz (1.5L) Nalgene (or similar) as well as the Hydro Flask Mug (12oz) (or similar). The internal dimension of the cup holder adapter measures 3.85″ or 97.9cm.

Note:
This product is 3D printed using PLA filament. PLA is sensitive to high temperatures and can experience warping over 122 °F or 50 °C. For those who live in a warm region or your car is standing in the sun on a hot summer day, consider storing this adapter in a cool place. A high-temperature resilient version of this product is in the works!
